Non-Drug Solutions for Vets

Mikal Vega with Non-Drug Solutions for Vets

Ask yourself, WHY would anyone prescribe 10-25 drugs daily for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) when there are drug-free alternatives?

Stop Labeling and Drugging Our Troops

Colonel Bart Billings: Stop Labeling & Drugging Our Troops

The VA’s Protocol for Mental Health therapy is pharmaceutical drugs and is one of the leading causes of the 22-30 daily Veteran suicides. Suicide ideation is one of the effects of these drugs along with kidney, heart, thyroid and liver damage. Ask yourself, WHY would anyone prescribe 10-25 drugs daily for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) when there are drug-free alternatives? ALL 50 of the psychotropic drugs used to treat TBI are “off label” which means they have NEVER been approved by the FDA for the treatment of that condition.

You may not have answers to these questions because the “whys,” may be impossible to figure out. But our mission is clear: make sure our Veterans get the (more…)

A month into working with Horse Rhythm Foundation & Guide Dogs of the Desert, to get Adam Rowland a guide dog, Team Veteran learned that Adam was featured in Arizona In The Saddle in a story about his Ranch Sorting Competition.  Check out the pics and the article – Ranch Sorting Jackpot – Cave Creek Memorial Arena – February 8-9, 2014.

Veteran Crisis!

July 19, 2012 by Gordon Brown

Time Magazine

We have a crisis in this country! Every 65 minutes a Veteran commits suicide and every day an active duty member of the services does as well. That is 22 Veterans a day, which means, if you are a Veteran you are almost 4 times more likely to take your own life, than someone from the non-Veteran population.

Our founder, Gordon Brown, a Vietnam Veteran was asked “What’s your rush? [about Team Veteran]”. Well with these sobering statistics you can understand why he believes “Time is of the Essence”.

Suicides rates are even higher among (more…)
